Different colours evoke different emotions and this is something we regularly discuss with customers as we discover more about their interior style. We like to make sure that their chosen colour palette will set the tone for their room. Whether they are looking to create a sense of calmness and serenity with cool toned blues and greens, or they crave the boldness of confident reds and pinks.
Colour is so important to us that when it came to our rebrand it was one of the most important decisions we made. We took a lot of time to consider what the right colours were to take Milners forward in a new direction. Not that we didn’t love our iconic Milners pink, but we did feel that it didn’t quite reflect the modern and sophisticated impression we hope you all associate with the business.
In selecting our colour palette, we were influenced by Little Greene Paint, one of our favourite brands who are synonymous with stylish tones. Our selected shades were Harley Green and French Grey - Pale. We chose two complimentary colours and loved the simplicity of the pairing. The shades we chose mean we were able to use these flexibly, from our gilded signage to eye catching social media graphics, getting this right has been key to setting the tone for our Milners vision.
Let us know how you pick colours. Do you create a mood board or do you act on instinct and fall in love with a shade and let the rest of the interior design fall into place? We’d love to hear from you.
