Here at Milners we have made several refreshing brand changes to our womenswear department over the past year or so, therefore we’re delighted to be able to tell you about our latest interior brand which we welcomed to our first floor in 2023. Here is your official introduction to Warner House…
First founded two centuries ago in 1870, Warner quickly became a powerhouse of the British textile industry and a name that most either know or recognise to this day. From winning admirable awards in silk weaving within their first 30 years of business, to supplying fabrics for the refurbishment of the White House in 1902, it’s clear why their tale is one still spoken about!
Warner is well known as a supplier to the Palace of Westminster and has provided woven articles for every coronation since 1902, including the gold Supertunica worn by both Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III, during the anointing ceremonies. There is then, of course, no wonder why their fabrics are so unapologetically decorative and luxurious!
Fast forward to 2020 and the brand was reborn as the Warner House we know and love today! On the first floor of Milner’s you will find their Archive sample books available for you to flick through. Featuring an opulent mix of classic floral chintzes, historical toiles and exotic wildlife, this collection of archival prints is inspired by Warner’s incredible heritage. Remastering some of their original prints so that they fit with today’s modern living, these fabrics and wallpapers celebrate creativity and the natural world around us.
If you think that a touch of Warner House in your home will reflect your personality and create that luxurious feel that you’ve been searching for, our interior team would love to welcome you to our first floor department and help you find your perfect print!
