Are you thinking about changing to carpets in your home, or perhaps looking to replace an old one that you’ve fallen out of love with? With lots of avenues to choose from and different companies to look into, it can be a little overwhelming. So, we’re here to help by informing you on what to expect if you choose Milners for your carpeting needs, and why we think we could be right for you and your home!

1. Our Brands

When choosing a carpet through Milners, you can expect only excellent, quality-driven brands, such as Penthouse, Kersaint Cobb and Brintons. 

Many of our brands use at least a wool mix when it comes to manufacturing their products, making them a natural and more eco-friendly choice over pure synthetics. Penthouse use 100% British wool throughout their collections, and Kersaint Cobb pride themselves on using a wide range of natural materials including wool, jute and seagrass. 

There are so many benefits to choosing a wool carpet! As well as being a sustainable and biodegradable material, they also provide insulation for your home, and the bouncy fibres stand up against high traffic. 

You may be reading this thinking “high quality wool carpets = pricey!”, and we do provide the more extravagant options from brands such as Brintons. However, don’t be put off! We provide a huge range of carpets within a wide price-range,  so that we can tailor to everybody’s needs.

2. Our Fitters

Our carpet fitter Brian, along with his trusty sidekick Matt, is one bonus that comes with choosing Milners for your carpets! Our fitters pride themselves on the work that they do, have years of experience, and come with high praise from previous clients. 

Our carpets can of course be sold as supply only if you have your own fitter at the ready, or are comfortable fitting it yourself in order to keep costs down. However, rest assured that if you do choose Milners to go ahead with the fitting, Brian will be at your property with a warm smile, grand sense of humour, and ready to get to work! Your home will be in safe hands.

3. Our Interior Service

Last but certainly not least, our friendly and knowledgeable interior staff are here to help you choose the carpet that is right for you. Sarah or Paula will likely be the first face you see, and they can be as little or as much involved as you need. 

Luckily with carpeting, the decision process is often relatively straightforward, especially if you already have an idea of a few tick boxes you want checked. For example, does your new carpet need to withstand high foot traffic or heavy furniture? Is it more important that it creates a style statement? If you’re unsure, don’t worry, our interior team is on hand to help guide you through the decision making process, and have years of experience in establishing what product would best suit both your needs and budget. 

We endeavour to make all of our interior services as convenient and easy for our customers as possible! So when going through us for your carpeting needs, we will arrange for Keith to come out to you and provide a no-obligation measure up, where he can also offer any advice, pricing estimates and even bring some samples with him at your request. 

If you decide to go ahead, all of your dealings will be directly with Milners to make the process as simple for you as possible, and we will always be at the other end of the phone from the start of the process to the end! We hope that you are happy with your new carpet, however after your carpet has been installed we will still be here to help with any questions you may have, or any issues that may arise.
