It’s been a while since we posted on our blog, and more than anything that’s because we’ve been so busy adjusting to the new normal in-store! With masks, hand sanitiser and social distancing guidelines to think about it’s been a busy time to make sure our team and customers are all kept safe when they walk through our door. We have lots of exciting things happening in the next few months, so even if we’re a little quieter with our blogs, rest assured we’re working away behind the scenes on something even better!
First of all, we’re over the moon with how our recent sale went, our summer items flew out of the door thanks to some of the amazing discounts we were able to offer and the hope of Winter sun holidays at the front of everyone’s minds! Thank you to everyone who purchased something, even if you don’t get the wear out of your pieces this year it won’t be long before next summer is upon us!
Our Autumn stock has begun arriving in-store, with beautiful coats, jumpers and of course our ever-popular hats, scarves and socks - we know so many of you purchase them as gifts! We’ve also had some gorgeous handbags in store for a little post-lockdown pick me up from brands including Joules and White Stuff. One thing to mention is that our Autumn pieces seem to be very sought after - so if there’s something you like the look of in-store or online it won’t be around for long! We have more pieces arriving but as soon as we put them out they’re soon gone!
If you’ve been in to see us recently, you’ll notice a couple of new faces welcoming you in. We know we introduced our new interiors assistant Hannah a few months ago, but we also have Linda and Janet who have joined the team downstairs in our women’s department. You’ll soon be able to find out a little more about them as we give our website a refresh. They have all settled in so well and quickly become part of the Milners family.
Finally, we’d like to say a huge thank you to every single person who has been in to see us, purchased through our online store or just shown us some support on social media. Lockdown left us with a huge mountain to climb but it feels like we’re getting there and that’s down to the support of all our customers and friends.
