Your curtains are often a dominant feature within a room and therefore it’s important to find a fabric you love. Our curtains are made to measure and handmade by our exceptional seamstress here in Leyburn.

Choosing your fabric

Whether you want patterned, plain, bright or neutral we have a wide selection of fabrics to choose from. We welcome you to visit the shop to look through our wonderful pattern books including ranges from brands such as William Morris, Colefax & Fowler, Sanderson and more. All our samples are available to borrow, to try out in your own home. 

Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are on hand to help you find what you are looking for and offer you practical and design advice. We also offer a free, no obligation, initial home visit service to carry out any survey work required to give the best advice possible and ensure that the right products are found for you.

Once you have found the perfect fabric, the next stage is to decide the style of curtains you want. This includes the type of lining, the heading required and whether accessories such as poles, tracks, tiebacks or holdbacks are required. 

All fabric is available to buy by the meter.

Choosing your curtain header and lining

We craft your curtains to meet your specific requirements- details to consider such as your curtain heading and lining can make all the difference to the overall effect of your curtains. 

Curtain headers such as Pencil-pleat, Tri-pleat and more body to your curtains and offer a more traditional look. Alternatively, eyelets (only available with metal poles) offer a contemporary feel.

All our curtains are lined with a luxurious off white lining as standard, however other linings we offer include; Interlining- to add luxury and substance, Blackout lining- if you are a light sleeper, Thermal lining- for drafty windows and doors or even coloured linings for extra individuality.

Choosing your pole/track

Simple or extravagant, custom shaped or chorded- we can help you find your perfect pole or curtain track. Curtain poles are available in wood or metal with a variety of finials to choose from. 

Wooden poles can be provided in various Natural, stained or painted finishes. From light oak to walnut wood looks. Gilded or limed or painted with any colour of your choice.

Metal poles are available in brass, silver, or gold as well as white grey and black. In addition we supply beautiful hand forged iron poles, which as well as being beautifully crafted, the poles also have the added versatility in that they can be custom made into any shape- ideal for bay windows.

Measuring and Fitting

We offer a free, no obligation measuring service conducted by Keith himself. Keith can also bring samples and offer any advice and pricing estimates on site to your chosen location.

If you require, Keith or our experienced fitter Andrew can return and fit your curtains. However we do offer our products as supply only if you have your own fitter or feel comfortable fitting them  yourself.

Once fitted if you have any problems with your curtains/poles in the future, we are always on the other end of the phone to help with any problems you may have and we endeavour to be as helpful as possible.

It’s always useful to have an initial idea of how you would like your room to look so we can help find products that work for you. We would always encourage our customers to bring in any items that could be coordinated with the curtains.

The next stage is to decide the type and style of curtains you want. This includes the type of lining, the heading required and whether accessories such as poles, tracks, tiebacks or holdbacks are required.

The final stage is to confirm all the requirements back to you so that you know we have interpreted everything correctly and then to confirm the costs.

Once fitted if you have any problems with your curtains we are always on the other end of the phone to help with problems you may have and endeavour to be as helpful as possible.

No you are welcome to borrow our pattern books and take them home to look at it your home. This way you can take your time and see how the fabrics look in the room they will be going in.

Yes, we offer a free of charge advice and measuring service.

Yes, and please feel free to ring us if you are unsure of what information we need.

Our seamstress Sharon makes all our curtains. Sharon is a perfectionist and always ensures that the products are made to the highest standards. Al curtains are then double checked before being approve for collection/fitting.

Usually 4-6 Weeks.

Our business is built of trust and integrity. If you can be open and honest with us it helps us to understand your concerns and put measures in place to prevent problems happening again.

If you're not sure whether your track needs replacing or fixing. We do have some spares for old tracks that might keep your track working for a little longer. It’s worth bringing it into the shop for us to look at or if that's not possible we can come and assess it.
