It won’t be long until Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas is back on our screens (yay!) and one of our favourite things about this program is seeing all the creative ways that Kirstie finds to wrap her Christmas gifts.
So, until the lady herself is back with some top tips, here are some of ours, for taking your Christmas Wrapping from drab to fab!
We all remember school art classes spent frantically snipping away at paper circles to create a unique snowflake design… It’s time to put all that practice to good use and add a touch of nostalgia to your wrapping with some paper snowflakes. These can be glued to the wrapping paper or gently attached with string for a rustic look!
Now you know at Milners we love pomp poms! In fact, we love them so much we even made a wreathe from them… Pom poms are super simple to make and can add a really cute and unique touch to your wrapping. You could even go one step further and use a glittery wool to make your pomp poms for added Christmas sparkle. If you’re not sure how to make them check out our step by step tutorial.
For our next tip, all you need is a hole punch and some coloured paper. Simply punch as many holes as you can from at least 2 different colours or shades of paper (this is a great way to relieve Christmas stress too!). After you have stamped your way through a few sheets of paper you should have enough to decorate your presents. This works best with plain brown paper so that all the attention is on your confetti. To stick the confetti to your present use double sided tape. You can be creative as you like with your sticky tape design but we think that a simple ‘ribbon’ design looks best!
There you have it, three easy ways to make your presents look extra special under the tree this year. If you try any of these, don’t forget to tag us on Social Media when you share the pics!
